We are a family wellness practice. What exactly does that mean? It means we’re different than other offices. While we want you to get pain relief as fast as possible, our goal is to correct the underlying cause of your problem and to shift the way you think about health. For example, most people think covering up symptoms solves the problem because they no longer feel the pain (like taking something for a headache). That’s just not true. Symptoms, things like muscle tightness, acid reflux, bed wetting, numbness & tingling, neck stiffness or low back pain, are warnings that something isn’t working right in your body. Our job is to locate the cause and correct it, thereby allowing your body to function at its best.
In our office, we use x-rays and computerized scans, as well as a physical exam and extensive consultation to determine if we can help you. You always have two sets of eyes looking at every scan and every x-ray. And then we dig deeper. We talk with you about nutrition as well as chemical and emotional stressors. We give exercises and stretches and advice on posture (did you sit up taller after reading that?). We combine our unique areas of expertise which allows us to serve so many families in our community.
And, you’ll be happy to know, we practice what we preach! Our two oldest boys were caught by dad during their un-medicated hospital births while our third son was born at home. We are extremely proud that they have had completely drug free lives; no vaccines, no pain relievers, no antibiotics, not one single medication ever. Does this mean they’ve never been sick? Of course not! We believe in supporting the body during a health crisis instead of suppressing symptoms.
Our ultimate goal is to empower you to make educated choices about your health because without your health, what do you really have?
